The Meteorological Service has issued a Severe Weather Alert for all parishes for today as a Cold Front is currently moving across the island.
It's expected to become stationary in the vicinity of Jamaica today.
Due to the passage of the Front, the island is likely to experience a significant increase in rainfall activity throughout today.The forecast is for periods of showers and isolated thunderstorms, which may be heavy at times, to affect most parishes.
The weather should be impacted by Northeasterly winds averaging 20 knots and slightly cooler temperatures of about 1 to 2 degrees Celsius below normal late today into tomorrow.
A gradual improvement in the weather is expected late tomorrow, as conditions return to near normal.
