An autopsy performed on the body of social media personality Aneka Townsend - popularly known as 'Slickianna' - revealed that she died of strangulation.
A senior investigator told Radio Jamaica News that the autopsy was conducted on Saturday.
He said investigators are now making arrangements to question Rushane Patterson, the man listed as a person of interest in her killing.
Ms Townsend's body was found floating in the sea in Reading, St. James by a group of beach-goers on October 21.
The body was found with a cord around the neck.
Patterson was captured during a police operation in Hanover last week.
He has since been charged with abduction and assault with intend to rob in relation to a 2018 incident in Duhaney Park, St. Andrew.
