A 30-year-old barber is behind bars after he was
allegedly held with an illegal firearm and a quantity of ganja on St. Johns Road in Spanish Town St.
Catherine.
His identity is being withheld pending further investigations.
A report from the Constabulary Communication Network says about one o'clock Wednesday afternoon the police carried out a raid on St. Johns Road.
During the exercise, the barber was seen acting in a manner which aroused the suspicion of the police.
He was accosted and searched and a 9 millimetre pistol loaded with ten cartridges was taken from him.
A search was carried out at his house and ganja was also found.
He was arrested and placed into custody.
