A 22-year-old St. Ann man who intervened in a fight and fatally stabbed a man, has been charged with murder.
Charged is Sanjay Hull, otherwise known as 'Dudus', a laborer of Maida district.
The deceased is 28-year-old Asauni Sterling.
Reports from the Alexandria Police indicate that about 6 p.m. on Saturday, August 16, an argument developed between Sterling and the man in the community.
According to the police, during the confrontation, Hull intervened, brandished a knife and inflicted stab wounds to Sterling's abdomen.
The injured man was assisted to hospital, where he died while being treated.
A report was made, and Hull turned himself into the police in the company of his attorney on Monday, August 18.
He was charged based on an eyewitness statement and a question and answer session in the presence of his attorney on Wednesday, August 20.
His court date is being arranged.
