An assessment is to be carried out today by the St. James Municipal Corporation following yesterday's extensive flooding downtown, Montego Bay.
Various communities were indudated by two hours of heavy rain,as a result, vehicles were also disabled by the flood waters.

Meanwhile, chairman of the St. James Municipal Corporation Homer Davis says most of the water receded overnight and the team will be clearing debris accumulated on some roads and checking in with businesses operators.
According to Davis, the business operators have not complained.
The National Works Agency says it has has ruled out blocked drains as a possible cause of the flooding.
Fatal crash
And the heavy rain experienced in sections of the parish yesterday was a factor in another double road fatality this morning.
Sheldon Hylton, an employee at Holiday Inn Resort, and Odean Smith, died early this morning, after they were thrown from the vehicle in which they were travelling on a section of the Elegant Corridor.
The driver and a passenger are in serious condition in hospital.
The police report that the crash occurred shortly before 6:00am in the vicinity of the roundabout leading to the Sangster International Airport.
