The Area Four Police are keeping a close watch of sections of Dunkirk in East Kingston after three men were gunned down in the community on Monday morning.

The men were killed along Bray Street about 11:30.

A fourth man was wounded.

The deceased are Rick Smith, Mario Headley and a man known only as Patrick.

Radio Jamaica's Kirk Wright visited the community and spoke with a relative of one of the victims.

"Patrick, him love dress up. Every dance him deh...fi show seh him nuh inna nuh war, fi seh he is not a warmonger, him go everyweh," the distraught woman recalled.

"You come fi seh you come fi kill, and you see di bid man dem stand up and a reason and you kill dem? Man weh yuh know?" she lamented.

Investigators are trying to determine whether Monday's deadly incident is linked to the shooting death of a so-called area don on Friday.

The man, who went by the alias 'Popeye', was fatally shot along Vauxhall Avenue.
