Ronald Thwaites, Minister of Education, is standing with the decision by the administration of Calabar High School to turn away students who do not comply with the dress code. Students were not allowed entry on Monday, because of various breaches of the code.
However, some members of the public have argued that the school should focus on learning and not minor breaches of the dress code. But Mr. Thwaites, who was speaking on RJR’s Beyond The Headlines, stated that Calabar has the authority to deal with disciplinary matters.
