The trial of a policewoman attached to the St. Elizabeth Police Division, who is accused of corruption, is to resume Thursday in the St. Elizabeth Parish Court in Santa Cruz.
Constable Lavern Hendricks is charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice and misconduct in a public office.
The trial is to be held in camera.
Constable Hendricks is out on $600,000 bail.
The charges stemmed from an incident in which a female motorist was allegedly robbed and raped by a policeman in St. Elizabeth.
It's reported that Constable Hendricks was the first responder on the scene in which Constable Alwayne Hill is alleged to have sexually assaulted the 26-year-old woman.
Investigators allege that Constable Hendricks took steps to frustrate the probe into the matter, including offering the complainant money to drop the case.
