A trough currently located across the Western Caribbean is projected to move in the vicinity of Jamaica on Sunday and persist through to midweek, which will result in unstable weather conditions across the island.
The meteorological service of Jamaica says the forecast is for periods of showers and thunderstorms, which may be heavy at times, along with the strongest winds to affect most sections of the country, especially in northwestern and southern parishes continuing into Tuesday.
Fishers and other marine interests should exercise caution as sea conditions will deteriorate in the vicinity of showers and thunderstorms, especially over southern waters.
