The driver of the truck involved in last night's deadly hit-and-run in Four Paths, Clarendon, has been arrested.
Melvin Hines, 61, of Donald Boulevard, Clarendon died when the truck slammed into his vehicle.
His wife was seriously injured.
The driver of the truck and his passengers reportedly fled the scene after the mishap.
SSP Glenford Miller, head of the Clarendon police, told Radio Jamaica News that the truck was at a garage being repaired when it was removed without the owner's permission.
It's reported that on reaching Clarendon Park Gardens, near Four Paths, the truck driver reportedly swerved into the path of a van driven by Mr. Hines.
Mr. Hines and his wife were injured.
He was pronounced dead at hospital.
The truck also slammed into a parked taxi in the neighbouring community of Race Track.
