Trinidad and Tobago Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley says he will not commit to a date when the country’s borders will reopen.
He said the reopening of the borders will depend on the availability of COVID-19 vaccines.
Dr. Rowley made the comment at a news conference on Wednesday.
He said the United States has indicated that by May its population should have full access to vaccines and be sufficiently inoculated.
Once that happens, he said the reopening of Trinidad and Tobago's borders will become a reality.
The borders were closed in March last year.
