Two St. Ann cops freed of corruption charges arising from traffic stop

The two St. Ann-based police constables who were charged for breaches of the Corruption Prevention Act arising from an incident in the parish on March 25, 2025, were both freed of the charges when they appeared in the Centan Parish Court on Monday.

Constables Georgian Hunter and Reul Masters were arrested and charged after allegations that they collected $10,000 from a motorist to prevent him from being charged for breaches of the Road Traffic Act.

The matter was reported to a senior police officer and a sting operation was set up and the cops nabbed.

At Monday's sit-in trial, Justice Larona Montague Williams discharged the officers as no further evidence was offered against them.
