Boris Johnson
UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson outlined the country's latest economic sanctions against Russia.
Mr. Johnson told MPs in the House of Commons that more oligarchs and all major Russian banks would have their assets frozen, with 100 individuals and entities targeted.
Russia's national airline Aeroflot will also be banned from landing in the UK.
It comes after Russian forces launched an assault on Ukraine using air and ground forces to hit military targets.
Large Russian companies will also be prevented from raising finance or borrowing money on UK markets.
A limit on deposits Russians can make to UK bank accounts is also included on the list of ten sanctions.
Similar financial sanctions will be extended to Belarus for its role in the assault on Ukraine.
