Reggae Boyz crash out of Gold Cup after heavy loss to Panama

Jamaica's Reggae Boyz were booted out of the first round of the CONCACAF Gold Cup after going down 4-1 to Panama in their final Group 'C'  game on Tuesday night in Texas, USA. It’s the first time since 2009 that Jamaica has been eliminated at the Gold Cup group stage.

The Panamanians were led by a first half hattrick from Ismael Diaz who scored in the 4th, 17th and 45th minutes. 
Jamaica's consolation came from Amarii Bell in the 27th minute.

Panama, who topped the group on 9 points, advanced to the quarter-final round alongside Guatemala who clipped Guadeloupe 3-2, to finish second on 6 points.

The Reggae Boyz finished third in the group on 3 points ahead of Guadeloupe who ended the tournament without a point.
