The police have identified the man who is suspected to have drowned near Victoria Pier in downtown Kingston on Wednesday morning as 70 year-old Leon Bunsie, of Montpelier Road in Sandy Bay, Hanover.
Detectives assigned to the Kingston Central Police Division are probing the circumstances surrounding his death.
About 9:00 a.m., the body, which was clad in underwear, was seen floating in the water.
It was removed to the morgue for a post mortem.
