US Embassy security guards sign wage deal

The Union of Clerical Administrative and Supervisory Employees (UCASE) and G4S Guardsman joint venture, which employs more than 200 security guards attached to the US Embassy in Kingston, have signed a new wage agreement.
 
UCASE President Vincent Morrison told Radio Jamaica News that the guards signed off on the wage package on Friday afternoon.
 
He said the union and the company wrapped up the deal during a meeting Thursday night. 
 
Mr. Morrison described the package as a good deal for the security guards. 
 
The five-year wage package is effective July 1, 2023.
