It is not yet known if a verdict will be handed down on Friday [June 10] in the trial of American evangelist Paul Lewis.
It was expected that the jury would have by now started its deliberations, but this could be delayed as the defence team began wrapping up its case on Thursday afternoon [June 9].
It followed presiding judge, Justice Leighton Pusey's decision to dismiss the no case submission presented by Reverend Lewis' attorney.
RJR News understands that Reverend Lewis took the stand on Thursday but it is not clear how many other witnesses were called.
Seven persons testified for the prosecution which completed its case on Wednesday.
Reverend Lewis was arrested last June after alleged carnally abusing a teenaged girl and sexually assaulting another at a Westmoreland hotel.
