Warmington withdraws resignation as chairman of JLP's Area Council Two

By Kimone Witter

Controversial Member of Parliament for South Western St. Catherine, Everald Warmington has withdrawn his resignation as chairman of the Jamaica Labour Party's Area Council Two.

Mr. Warmington resigned earlier this month after he was sacked as Minister without portfolio in the Ministry of Economic Growth and Job Creation.

This followed public outrage over his comments about withholding public funds from a People's National Party councillor.

But in an about-turn, Mr. Warmington has written to party executives, withdrawing his resignation, adding that he is fully committed to working for the re-election of the JLP as the government, and Andrew Holness as prime minister.
