Harvard professor Mey Akashah, 36, of Boston, pleaded guilty and was released without a fine on a conditional discharge in Bermuda.
The Royal Gazette in Bermuda reports that she arrived in the island from Boston Friday with her husband.
Its understood that as they were going through customs the drug was sniffed out by a police dog.
It was discovered that she was hiding six grams of marijuana in a plastic bag in her groin area.
She reportedly told police she was prescribed the drug by a doctor in California after having surgery.
