Attorneys representing public sector unions in the so-called Vaccine Mandate Case are urging their clients to appeal to the London-based Privy Council following yesterday's Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court ruling in favour of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines government.
The Court of Appeal by a 2-1 majority also ruled that the Minister of Health did not need to consult the Chief Medical Officer before ordering that public sector workers take a coronavirus vaccine in 2021.
The Minister of Health and the Environment, Public Service Commission, Commissioner of Police, Attorney General, and Police Service Commission are the respondents.
