US Virgin Islands confirms two more cases of Zika

The US Virgin Islands Department of Health has confirmed two additional cases of the Zika virus. The total number of confirmed zika cases is now 16, with 14 on the island of St. Croix and two on St. Thomas.

With the islands' Carnival and other outdoor events planned for this week, the health department is urging persons to wear repellent and protective clothing.
The Department of Health said it will also inspect the homes of pregnant women for mosquitoes and mosquito larvae and provide treatment, as needed in the homes of those pregnant women who are tested.
