Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz went down 1-0 to the United States in their CONCACAF Nations League quarter-final clash on Thursday night at the National Stadium. Ricardo Pepi scored the all-important goal in the 5th minute.
Demarai Grey missed a 15th minute penalty for the Regggae Boyz who ended with 10 men after defender Mason Holgate was sent off four minutes from time for a second bookable offence. The game was a rematch of their semi-final from the last edition of the tournament.
The return leg will be played at Energizer Park in St Louis, Missouri on Monday. The home and away series in this November window will determine the teams advancing to the 2025 CONCACAF Nations League finals.
The quarter-final winners will also qualify for next summer's CONCACAF Gold Cup.
