Eleven Jamaican athletes will be in action on day two of the IAAF World Athletics Championships in Doha in addition to the heats of the mixed 4x400m relay. The duo of Federic Dacres and Chad Wright will be the first Jamaicans in Group "A" of the qualification for the men’s discus throw at 8:15am, while Traves Smikle will be in Group "B" at 9:45.
At 8:30- Shelly-Ann Fraser Pryce- Elaine Thompson and Jonielle Smith will get into gear for the heats of the women's 100m. At 10:05- Kemar Mowatt will be searching to book a spot in the final of the men’s 400m hurdles as he lines up in the semi-finals.
At 10:45 Yohan Blake and Tyquando Tracey will search for spots in the final of the blue ribbon event. At 11:15 Natoya Goule will be in the semi-finals of the women’s 800m. At 12 noon, the quartet of Nathon Allen, Janieve Russell, Javon Francis and Roneisha McGregor will compete in the heats of the mixed 4x400m relay while
at 12:40, Tajay Gayle will hunt Jamaica's first medal of the championship in the final of the men’s long jump.
