Ackeem Blake to clash with Lyles at London Diamond League

Olympic-bound Jamaican sprinter Ackeem Blake is set to clash with American world champion Noah Lyles over 100 metres at the London Diamond League meet on Saturday.

Blake, the 2024 world indoor 60 metre bronze medalist finished third at the National Senior Championships in June clocking 9.92.

Another Jamaican, 2011 world champion Yohan Blake will also line-up in the event along with Botswanian star Letsile Tebogo, the British pair of Zharnel Hughes and new 100m champion Louie Hinchcliffe as well as South Africa's Akani Simbine.

A total of 9 Jamaicans are slated to compete at the meet. Zandrion Barnes will line-up in the men's 400 metres where he will face top Brition Matthew Hudson-Smith.

National champion Nickisha Pryce will compete in the women's equivalent. National record holder Roshawn Clarke will compete in the men's 400 metre hurdles alongside Brazil's Alison dos Santos and Kyron McMaster of the Brtisih Virgin Islands.

2-time World Championship bronze medallist Rushell Clayton will contest the women's 400 metre hurdles along with compatriots Andrenette Knight and Shiann Salmon.

10-time national champion Natoya Goule-Toppin is down to contest   the 800 metres.
