Apprentice Youville Pinnock steals show at Caymanas Park with 4-timer

Apprentice Youville Pinnock was the star of Saturday's 11 race card at Caymanas Park, botting home four winners including both sections of the divided Grooms Association of Jamaica Trophy.

This race was confined to native bred and imported 4 year olds and up over the 5 straight course.
 
The Patrick "Wacky" Lynch-trained Ring Charmer who was made the 9-5 second favourite behind Prince Marshall in section 1 of the feature event, was always prominent befofre taking command in the last quarter.


Ring Charmer came home in a minute-and-one-fifth of a second, winning by 5-and-three-quarter lengths.

Pinnock was forced to work much harder in secction 2 where he brought the 5-2 chance Cruella with a late run to snatch victory.

Pinnock who had earlier won aboard the 1-5 favourite Adoring Texas in race 7, secured his 4-timer in the closing event astride the 3-5 favourite Buff Bay going 7 furlongs.

Meanwhile, champion trainer Anthony "Baba" Nunes achieved career win number 1200 when the 3-5 favourite Curlin's Affair under Robert Haleeden scored a runaway victory in the Overnight Allowance contest over 6 furlongs.

Racing continues on Sunday with a 10 race card starting at noon.
