Australia remain in control of second test vs Windfies

Despite the West Indies producing a solid team bowling effort and better catching, Australia's batsmen resisted and edged in front on a rain-affected day 3 of the second test at the Grenada National Stadium.

Resuming the day on 12-2 in their second innings, Australia got half centuries from star batsman Steve Smith 71, his 43rd test fifty, and Cameron Green 52, his seventh test fifty, to close on  221-7, an overall lead of 254 runs.

Jayden Seales bagged 2-29, Shamar Joseph 2-54 and Justin Greaves 2-22. Australia lead the three match series 1-0.

Scores so far: Australia - 286 and 221-7; the West Indies - 253.
