A 55th minute Shaquille Stein strike for Cavalier was the difference between the defending champions in 5th and 4th placed Portmore United in their rescheduled Jamaica Premier League (JPL) fixture played at Sabina Park on Wednesday. Cavalier moved to 56 points, just two behind Portmore.
The league continues with another rescheduled game on Thursday, as leaders Mount Pleasant FA will be home to seventh placed Racing United.
A win for Mount Pleasant will move them within 5 points of a semi-final place, while victory will put Racing into the top six.
