West Indies middle order
batsman Shivnarine Chanderpaul, the only Caribbean player in the top ten of
the ICC's test players' ratings, has retained the number eight batting position
in the latest list.
West Indies captain Chris Gayle is at number 25.
Sri Lanka's Kumar Sangakkara keeps the top spot in the batting, ahead of South African Jacques Kallis with the Australia captain Ricky Ponting at number three.
Corey Collymore at number12, is the only West Indian among the top 30 bowlers while the Sri Lankans also boast the number one bowler in spinner Muttiah Muralitharan ahead of South African Dale Steyn, with the Australian pacers Stuart Clark and Brett Lee at three and four, respectively.
