RJR Sports understands that Olympic silver medallist Christania Williams has left the MVP Track Club and joined the Florida-based Tumbleweed Track Club in the United States. Williams who featured on the silver medal winning sprint relay team at the 2016 Olympic Games in Brazil, joined the UTECH-based MVP in 2014.
The 25 year old was a double silver medallist at the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia in 2018, having finished runner-up in the 100 metres and the 4x100m relay. Williams holds personal best times of 10.96 in the 100 metres and 23.48 seconds in the 200 metres.
Williams is the second elite level athlete to depart the MVP Track Club this season with Megan Tapper having departed at the beginning of the season.
