Chung takes over as interim CEO of SVREL

Chief Financial Officer at Supreme Ventures Limited Dennis Chung is set to take over as the interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of horse racing's sole promoting company Supreme Ventures Racing and Entertainment Limited (SVREL). This follows two high profile and sudden resignations at SVREL.

Major Hugh Blake, had been the CEO of SVREL for 6 months, while Peter Green was 10 months into his tenure as Director of Marketing for the promoting company. Chairman of SVREL Solomon Sharpe confirmed the exit of both Blake and Green with RJR Sports on Friday and thanked both men for their services to the company.

Many trainers have voiced the opinion that someone who has been involved in the sport and fully understands the racing product should be appointed as CEO but that was quickly dismissed by Sharpe.
