Corporate Area Development Meet rebranded

There's a slight re-branding of the Corporate Area Development Meet, as organizers  say they are struggling financially and they are hoping to change that, as a number of developmental meets at the high school level are on their last legs.

As a result of that struggle, there could be some changes, as was revealed at Wednesday's launch. Event organizer, Ricky Martin says after consultation it was important to present the meet in a light where it's attractive to sponsors and as a result, it's renamed the Corporate Area High School Athletics Championship.

Martin says the cutbacks are evident for this year's staging, with less advertising by corporate entities. The Corporate Area High School Athletics Championship is set for March 7-8 at the Ashenheim Stadium at Jamaica College.
