The 12th edition of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) bowls off on August 29 with new team Antigua and Barbuda Falcons taking on St Kitts and Nevis Patriots at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua.
The Falcons replaced 3-time winners Jamaica Tallawahs for the 2024 edition after the owners cited lack of support from the government of Jamaica for their decision to resell the owner rights of the Tallawahs back to the CPL owners.
The Falcons are expected to have several members of the Tallawahs unit in their squad for the upcoming season.
Defending champions Guyana Amazon Warriors open their account against the Falcons on August 30.
The playoffs and final of the competition will be staged in Guyana for a third consecutive season. The final is slated for October 6.
