The Philadelphia Eagles have won the Superbowl for the first time in their history after defeating the New England Patriots 41-33 at the US Bank Stadium in Minesota on Sunday. Quarterback of the Eagles Nick Foles won the Most Valuable Player award on the night for his tally of three touchdowns.
This victory denied the Patriots of their 6th Superbowl title which would have levelled them with the Pittsburg Steelers. The next staging of the Superbowl will be held at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.
That match will be played on February 3, 2019.
