Englishman Steve McLaren is the new head coach of the senior Reggae Boyz team. The 63 year old McLaren who has left his role as assistant coach of Manchester United, got the nod from the JFF board over former Manchester United player and Premier League manager Steve Bruce.
Jamaica's Reggae Boyz are currently ranked 59th in the FIFA world rankings and are next in action in September.
Mclaren's first assignments with the Reggae Boyz will be against Cuba and Honduras in a pair of CONCACAF Nations League matches.
He has signed a 2 year contract and will be tasked with qualifying the team for the 2026 FIFA World Cup to be co-hosted by the United States, Mexico and Canada.
