The governing body for world football FIFA, has announced that the they will announce who will host the 2026 World Cup on June 13. So far, Canada, the United States and Mexico have put a joint bid together and their rival to host the 48 team tournament in eight years’ time will be Morocco.
Morocco has ensured that logistically the tournament will be a success if they host it as all stadiums are no longer than an hour and 15 minutes flying time from each other. If USA, Canada and Mexico host the World Cup, these spots will be taken from CONCACAF's six spots for the 2026 World Cup, leaving only three spots up for grabs in the region. The 48 team tournament will see 16 groups of 3 teams.
