Former Trinidadian champion jockey Prayven Badrie will be plying his trade at Caymanas Park over the next few months.
The 31 year old badrie who won the jockeys' title in Trinidad and Tobago in 2015 and Assiniboia Downs in Winnepeg, Canada in 2018, arrived in Jamaica earlier this month for a short stint that will last until around April.
His first mount on Jamaican soil yielded a close third place finish aboard Richard Azan's even-money favourite Thirtyonekisses in Saturday’s second event over a mile.
He has secured three mounts on Sunday's programme. Badrie is the first Trinidadian jockey to be riding in Jamaica since Brian Harding who won the jockey's championship here in 2005 and 2006.
