Four time world 100m champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce has received yet another achievement after being named on the BBC's 100 women of 2019.
The British media entity named candidates who had "influenced important stories over the past 12 months, as well as those who have inspiring stories to tell, achieved something significant or influenced their societies in ways that wouldn't necessarily make the news". The 32 year old Fraser-Pryce won two gold medals at the recently-concluded IAAF World Championships in Doha, Qatar.
The BBC also said Fraser-Pryce’s return from giving birth made her achievement more historic. Fraser-Pryce is one of 13 women from the category of sports to be included on the list including 200m world champion Dina Asher-Smith, 400m world champion Salwa Eid Naser and footballer Megan Rapinoe who won the World Cup and Player of the Year Award for the United States.
