RJR Sports understands that vice-president Bruce Gaynor is the front-runner to be named interim president of the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) at Saturday's board meeting. The position became vacant following the death of Captain Horace Burrell on June 6.
Gaynor joined the JFF as vice-president in 2014 and got the nod again in 2016 at the restructuring of the federation.
He was given the task to represent the JFF at the opening of the CONCACAF office in Kingston and at the thanksgiving service for Burrell on Wednesday.
