Gilbert pleased with Jamaica's draw for Women's U-17 World Cup qualifers

Coach Xavier Gilbert says he is satisfied with Jamaica's group for the  CONCACAF Women's Under 17 World Cup qualifiers at Monday's draw in Montego Bay, Jamaica was placed in Group ''A" of the tournament which includes Mexico, Haiti and El Salvador.

Jamaica will open against El Salvador on October 30 then go on to play Haiti and Mexico.

“El Salvador is probably the weaker team in the group, and to get to play them first, and then also get a chance to see both Mexico and Haiti is good. We just hope that that same lovely luck and performance can, and the support of the crowd of course, can put us through”, Gilbert commented.

Group B will be contested by United States, Canada, Guatemala and Trinidad and Tobago.

It was also disclosed at yesterday's draw that Jamaica will be making an official bid to host the FIFA Congress in 2015.
