Former West Indies captain Jason Holder will play for Worcestershire for the opening five English County Championship games for the upcoming season which bowls off on Friday.
Holder, the West Indies test captain from 2015-2020, skipped the regional team's two-test series against Australia in January but has publicly stated his desire to continue playing red-ball cricket.
The 32-year-old's only previous experience of county cricket came in 2019 with an early season stint at Northamptonshire, the same year he became the first West Indies player to top the test all-rounder rankings since Sir Garfield Sobers.
The West Indies will play three tests in England from July 10-30.
