ICC changes venue for world cup warm-up matches from Pallekele

The two ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 warm-up matches that had been scheduled to take place at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Sri Lanka, will now be played at the grounds of the Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo after persistent rain hampered the preparation of pitches in the original venue

The two affected games are the Sri Lanka versus the Netherlands on February 12 and Kenya versus the Netherlands on February 15.

This does not affect the three tournament fixtures scheduled to take place at Pallekele in March.

The at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium will host three matches in the world cup starting with the clash between New Zealand and Pakistan on March 8, followed by Sri Lanka's match-up with Zimbabwe on March 10 and concluding with the Pakistan / Zimbabwe fixture on March 12.
