Indoor record run by Bolt in Poland

Jamaica's Usain Bolt continued his late season exploits on Saturday when he sped to his season's best and meet record 9.98 seconds to win the men's 100 meters at the Warzawski Memorial International meet in Poland.

Compatriot Sheldon Mitchell was 2nd in 10.33 seconds.

Bolt's winning time was also the fastest time ever recorded for an indoor 100 meter race, eclipsing  the previous best mark for the distance of 10.05, set By Namibian Frankie Fredericks in 1996. The meet organisers had closed the roof of the Warsaw Stadium for the event.

This was Bolt's 2nd 100 meter for the season. He had clocked 10.06 to win in Brazil on Sunday. He will next compete at the Zurich Diamond League meet in Switzerland on Thursday.
