International cricket fraternity mourns passing of Martin Crowe

The cricket world is mourning the passing of one of the game's best all-time players, Martin Crowe of New Zealand. He passed on Wednesday, aged 53, due to cancer. In 77 test matches Crowe made 5444 runs at an average of 45.36, and held numerous records when he retired.

Perhaps his greatest contribution was his innovation, having developed a shortened format called 'Cricket Max' a forerunner to Twenty20 cricket.
