Jamaica's medal tally at the World Athletics Championships remains at four following the fifth day of competition in Eugene, Oregon.
Despite a personal best from Jaheel Hyde in the 400 metres hurdles of 48.03 seconds, he finished sixth in the event behind Brazilian Alison dos Dantos in a championship record of 46.29 seconds. The American duo of Rai Benjamain and Trevor Bassitt finished second a third.
2019 World Championship silver medallist Fedrick Dacres could not replicate his efforts in the men's discus by ending 9th with a best of 64.85 meters.
The event was won by Slovenia's Kristjan Ceh a championship record of 71.13 metres. Traves Smikle's 62.23 meters had him in 12th place.
Meanwhile, national record holder Lamara Distin with 1.93 metres was only good enough for ninth in the women's high jump final.
National champion Kimberly Williamson with 1.89 was 11th in the event that was won by Australian Patterson on countback with an area record of 2.02 meters.
Shericka Jackson was the fastest qualifier for the women's 200 metres final on Thursday with 21.67 seconds. Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce clocked a season's best of 21.82 seconds to finish ahead of American Abby Steiner in 22.15 seconds.
Double Olympic champion Elaine Thompson-Herah was the fastest loser for the final after logging a season's best of 21.97 seconds.
