Jamaica beat Puerto Rico 7-3 in CONCACAF Beach Football

The 7-3 win for Jamaica over Puerto Rico had flashes of good football from both sides, offensively and defensively. But Jamaica was just too much for the Puerto Ricans. The two teams started out fast and alternated goals and blows, until late in the second period when Jamaica seemed to hit another gear .

The win is great for Jamaica as they will need all the wins they can get, being in the same group as the hosts, El Salvador. Jamaica will play Belize on Sunday, while Puerto Rico will take on El Salvador, looking for their first win.

Every group in this event has tough teams and for that reason, every team wants to start quick and not have to worry as much in the latter half of the group stage.

Goals: 1-0: Reid, min. 9 (1); 1-1: Astondoa, min. 5 (1); 2-1: Reid, min. 4 (1); 2-2: Gonzalez, min. 2 (1); 3-2: Benjamin, min. 4 (2); 4-2: Reid, min. 3 (2); 5-2: Reid, min. 11 (3); 6-2: Simpson, min. 7 (3); 6-3: Encarnacion, min. 4 (3); 7-3: Reid, min. 3 (3).

Saturday's results:
