Jamaica College, the defending Manning Cup champion, secured the 2014 crown on Saturday, beating Charlie Smith 2-1 in the final at the National Stadium in Kingston.
This triumph has taken Jamaica College half-way towards achieving the unprecedented distinction of winning four schoolboy trophies in one season, having earlier secured the LIME SuperCup, the new island-wide knockout title (contested for the first time in 2014).
That leaves two other possible titles: the Walker Cup knockout trophy for urban schools, and the Olivier Shield, symbol of islandwide schoolboy supremacy, to be contested against the DaCosta Cup champion from rural Jamaica.
