Jamaica ends 37th CAJG Champs in 4th place

Jamaica closed out the 3-day 37th Caribbean Amateur Junior Golf Championship in Puerto Rico on Thursday with three medals, 1 gold and 2 bronze, while the team placed fourth overall.

Co-captain Mattea Issa bagged her first gold in the championship after being runner-up in every age group category that she competed in. Her gold came in her last year as a junior, competing in the 18 and under category. She had a combined total of 16 over par 231 to take home the Peter Hale Trophy.

Kingston Burke who also competed in the same category, picked up bronze. The other bronze went to Alessandra Coe who made her final appearance in the 13 and under age group.
