Jamaica ends in 29th position in bobsleigh competition at Sochi Olympics

Jamaica's bobsleigh team produced its best run on Monday, but this couldn't prevent an early exit from the two-man competition at the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia.

Driver Winston Watts and brakeman Marvin Dixon sped to 58.17 seconds on their third run, but it wasn't enough to vault them into the top-20 to continue to heat four.

It was an almost impossible task for the Jamaicans who started the day in 30th position. They finished a place higher in 29th however as a Serbian team did not take the track on day two.

Lascelles Brown, a former competitor for Jamaica, now competing for Canada, ended 9th with his teammate.

Russia won the competition with Switzerland second and the United States third.
