Young Jamaican diver Yona Knight-Wisdom will be aiming higher, entering tomorrow's 3-metre springboard competition at the world championship in Barcelona, Spain.
Knight-Wisdom had finished 23rd at the weekend in the preliminaries of the 1-metre springboard, in only his 5th international competition.
The 3-metre dive however is the main event for the U.K born and bred teenager who is born to a Jamaican father and Barbadian mother.
The first Jamaican diver to compete at the world championship has swimmers Alia Atkinson and Zara Bailey for teammates.
Atkinson who will be swimming the 50, 100 and 200 metre
breaststroke and Bailey who has been entered in the 200 and 400 individual medley do not enter competition however until next week.
