West Indian medium pace bowler Kevon Cooper turned in a man of the match performance to lead the Rajasthan Royals to a 9 wicket win over the Perth scorchers of Australia and place in the semi-finals of the champions league t-20 tournament in Jaipur Iddia on Sunday.
Cooper picked up an impressive 4-18 to first help dismiss the scorchers for 120 in the 20th over.
Adam Voges made 27. Ajinkya Rahane then made an unbeaten 62 and Sanju Samson 50 not out as Rajasthan replied with 121-1 in 16.3 overs.
Meanwhile in an exciting contest Otago of New Zealand defeated lions of South Africa by way of a boundary count after the super over also ended in a tie.
Bavuma scored 109 as the lions first posted 167-4. Despite losing 7 wickets, Otago still replied with 167-7 to tie the match.
With the super over also ending in a tie, the number of boundaries scored by both teams was used to decide the winner. Otago hit 19 boundaries in the game and two in their super over while Lions hit 18 boundaries in the main match and two in the super over.
